Prentice Mulford (1834–1891) who helped found the New Thought Movement said

Prentice Mulford’s inspirational quote means that when we behave in positive loving ways we strengthen our immune system, we have more energy, more vitality, feel more optimistic; so why is this? It is because you are contacting with your Higher self and becoming one with it. The Higher self is your God self where you radiate pure wholesome LOVE.
